Dear Family and Friends:
If you care, as I do, about people of color, specifically black people, and cannot bear to watch one more slanted newscast, as I cannot, please go to this MIT Community Vigil. Today, it is on the homepage of MIT — web.mit.edu, or you can google “An MIT Community Vigil You Tube”. When you see the videos, look for the one that says (full event) — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GyufiddUqI.
I love the MIT Community, never more so than in their response to crises. This vigil of individuals from their respective homes is long (1 hr. 28 min.) but it is recorded, so you can stop it at anytime and watch it in sections. All the speakers have powerful messages, and the ASL Interpreter (sign language) is the best I have seen. I urge you not to miss Rafael Reif (MIT President), DiOnetta Crayton, and Sandy Alexandre, in particular.
United in hope and prayer and action,
Doris
